Publisher's summary

The last McKay standing is knocked to his knees....

Three years ago Dalton McKay looked across the altar and saw the woman he knew he'd love for the rest of his life...only it wasn't his bride. That was when he took the McKays' love-'em-and-leave-'em reputation to new heights - fleeing the ceremony and Wyoming. Now a family issue has brought Dalton back to Sundance, giving him a chance to prove to everyone - especially the woman he thought he lost - that he's a changed man.

Aurora "Rory" Wetzler has fallen for cowboy hottie Dalton's smooth-talkin' ways too many times. So he's determined to convince her he's playing for keeps this go around? Fine. She'll call that bluff - she can't ignore their intense chemistry or resist the smokin' hot sex, but she's not willing to gamble her heart again. Dalton has plenty of fences to mend with the McKays, but his biggest fear is that Rory doesn't believe they have a future. He'll have to pull out all the stops to show her they belong together for the long haul.

Warning: Contains a sexy cowboy who tames his sassy lady love with his romantic and his kinky sides. In explicit detail.

Terrible Narrator, Great story

Wanted to turn it off after the first chapter . She concentrated too much on making Dalton sound wanting that he just sounded stupid . Each word overdone , no flow to the speach. Ruined a great book .

Dalton is a Real Man

In previous Rough Rider books, I always liked the character of Dalton so I was looking forward to his story. Dalton earned my eternal respect when he call out his cousin Ben for being a violent, sadistic asshole (dom) in a prior book.

Dalton is my idea of a true cowboy - strong, smart, funny and gentle. He was a real sexy and confident man, who didn't need to feel powerful by hitting or degrading women. Rory could have been more confident but at least she wasn't a complete wimp like many of the McKay wives.

Lorelei James is an extremely gifted writer, who has the ability to create engrossing characters and interesting settings. I hope she writes more books about strong women who don't take crap from anyone and real men who don't need to bully & dominate.

Rory and Dalton my favorite book of the series so far.

Rory and Dalton were best friends since childhood. They had a relationship in their teens and Dalton took Rory's virginity. Dalton became the worst of the McCay bad boys with his use and disuse of women. Rory spends several years away from home in college while Dalton spends three years traveling abroad and working in Montana. They reconnect when both return home. Dalton tells Rory she is his and he plans on showing her how much he has changed. He is no longer that untrustworthy drunken womanizer. Rory is afraid he is the same manipulator but she can't stay away from him. Lots of humor, love misunderstandings and heartbreak. Can they get to the place where they can be a forever couple?

Oh yeah.

This was the best of the series. I love, love, love Dalton and all he endured at the hands of his horrible father. I got so mad I wanted to strangle something. Thanks for this great listen.

ANOTHER GREAT COWBOY ROMANCE!

Another beautifully written love story from the McKay crew. The last one of the bunch finally gets his girl. Even though this is book 15, I feel like there's so much more to be told with generations of McKays remaining. I'd buy every one of their stories! Well worth your credit and time.
