But everything is well secured and protected. It comes with the wires needed and MOUNTING HARDWARE aside from the screwed you need to affix the mounting bracket to the wall ::duh emoji:: but you have to be exact with the measurements with the sound at or else you're just drilling holes (not the case here lol) but it screwed into Sheetrock no problem (I used wall anchors just to be safe) I could've mounted it higher to hide the wires but that's another project. Those are all in the accessories box so that all neat and tidy.Pros:price obviouslyDumb easy to set up (satellite speakers come with a plug type connection wire that's about 25 or 50 ft or so) those are my wall mounts. Turn it off and use the volume on ur phone or iPad and ur good- ish. I say good ish because it brings us to another con. With the true vol off, the volume is "wavy" kinda annoying. If you're watching Netflix and pause it for like 20 seconds or whatever it has an auto volume feature that gradually brings the volume up so it doesn't make you poop, the sound comes on then goes off for about a second or 2 and comes back almost every time you pause and play. Never happened during the super bowl tho. Thumbs up emoji. If it broke, would I buy it again? Yes, for a couple reasons, if it lasts me 3 years I feel I got my money out of it. For the space I'm using it in, it's perfect. I have a pitched roof, and it's all hardwood and brick so it really kicks the sound all the way to the back of the house clearly. Over all if you want better sound and you want something better than your tv speakers it's a good buy.

    Report
Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2016
I decided it was time to replace my 10 year old 5.1 DVD system to something with a newer look and HDMI capability. I have a new Samsung UHD TV that needed better sound to go with the picture as well. I was torn between a full 5.1 receiver/speakers and something simpler like a soundbar. I really wanted to keep the surround experience but liked the simplicity and look of a soundbar. The Vizio SB4051 took care of both of those needs, and is very attractively priced. I have all my components routed through the Samsung OneConnect Box, with the soundbar going through HDMI(ARC). Had not trouble syncing the two together once I read that initial setup should NOT be done with HDMI hooked up - used the included optical cable to do setup and then hooked up HDMI. With this setup, I never have to switch inputs on the soundbar - whatever my TV is using automatically goes to the soundbar. I've got one remote to control 4 components! Hallelujah!

Setting up the sub and surrounds was easy - sub synced right away and have not noticed any interference (sub is behind sectional couch in the corner). Beware that finding speaker stands that can accomodate the RCA-style plug for the surrounds can be a challenge - my old Sony stands did not work unless I mounted the speaker upside down. I ordered the Atlantic Satellite Speaker Stands from Amazon - which worked great after some minor modifications - see reviews on that product page for more information.

After some tweaking of the soundbar settings and getting the TV audio settings properly configured, I am very pleased with the sound of this system. Some third party reviews suggested the bass was too strong with this system, but I haven't had that issue - even with the sub and bass levels at factory setting. There have been some instances where the sub can be heard when it shouldn't - but that has only been from lower-quality audio sources. You get a pretty good surround experience - easily fills my living room with immersive sound even at mid-volume levels. Dialog is crystal clear.

I love the bluetooth capability for listening to music from my phone. The sync process is fast and simple - though I find myself having to re-pair the two devices each time. Not an issue since the process is easy.

Pros: great price, high-end looks, solid sound from a compact system, best input selection on any soundbar I researched
Cons: Front surround effect is limited by 40" width of soundbar, still not 100% wireless

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing sound!
Reviewed in Canada on February 17, 2016
This thing is amazing and sounds crisp while getting, very, very loud!

The rear speakers hook up to the subwoofer and have about 30 feet of cable each so I have them placed as either end of my room with ample cord to spare! The subwoofer has a power cord so it needs to be near an outlet, make sure to put near a corner as you want it to fire into a corner/wall for the best sound. Some reviews noted that the subwoofer was too much, it is crazy loud but you can turn both the subwoofer level down as well as the bass for all of the speakers. I found that turning the subwoofer lvl down works the best for me, especially when the little one is sleeping.

    Pros:
    Very easy set up
Lots of cord for setting up rear speakers
    Sounds amazing
Price is amazing, some 2.1 or 3.1 set ups cost this much and this blows the ones I have heard out of the water
Comes with almost every cord you can think up for setting up to your TV: HDMI, Optical, Coaxil, Digital, RCA..etc
Speakers are sleek looking and don't stand out like sore thumbs.
Speakers can be mounted on wall (brackets included) or put on floor mounts (I went floor mount route)
Blu tooth works very well, I use it often to play music from my phone.

    Cons:
Remote has no backlight and is pretty hard (impossible) to read in low light settings.

    5.0 out of 5 stars . . . hearing sounds I never heard before !

I purchased this sleek new Vizio SB4051-CO Sound Bar after reading several different reviews from various sources on the internet. This system has replaced an older Sony AV 7.1 amp with a small, older Polk (...RMS6750) speaker system that included a newer Polk 10" sub-woofer.
Needless to say, I'm hearing sounds that I never heard before with my older setup, and while it's not perfect, it is a substantial improvement for my aging ears. For a small sub, it has way too much base, but there is enough audio adjustment via the hand held remote to adjust the sub so it doesn't over power the other speakers in the system as some reviews have stated. A big plus feature - all the cables to suit your particular audio/visual equipment are included with the unit, so there is no need to purchase any additional cables to get your sound bar working. The 'Quick Start' Manual included with the package is relatively easy to follow, and contains just enough information to steer you in the right direction, and get you up and running in true 5.1 surround sound! After spending some time with the manual and the remote, I have the system pretty well "dialed in'' to suit my hearing preferences.
The only disconcerting feature - while the remote does have an lcd readout, it is almost impossible to read in low light conditions, so keep a small light source handy when your learning how to tame this system. The small lighted indicators on the left hand side of the sound bar might be a little hard to comprehend at first, but they are all very well detailed in the quick start manual !
Overall it's an excellent system, with many advanced features available for a very reasonable cost !

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound all around, great purchase!

I've done lots of shopping around, including some frustrating visits to Best Buy where half the soundbars aren't plugged in and the teenagers don't have a clue what they're talking about. You want the SURROUND experience? This is the only way to go. Even the best sound bars aren't succesful at simulating enveloping sound. If your set-up can handle it (the 2 rear satellite speakers have about 25-30 feet of rca cables each coming out of the subwoofer), I would recommend the product. As has been mentioned by many reviews: the bass is way too intense straight out of the box, but you can EASILY adjust that with a few clicks of the remote: menu button, then bass +/- options, subwoofer +/- options, night option (which cuts subwoofer out). I find you can turn the bass down to "too little bass" levels, unlike some reviews. Great packaging, very premium looking, paired easily with my Samsung TV's remote to learn the volume up, volume down and mute (didn't learn mute though) buttons, so I don't have to use the soundbar remote during viewing. Only one drawback: the remote has an LCD screen (I use it a lot to adjust the speaker and bass levels when switching from tv, to game console to bluetooth streaming) but that screen has no light, so if you have a dimly lit living room, you can't read the screen at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expected great sound, but surprised at the quality

This is a great sound bar. I've owned a few and a few real high quality systems and this one is really high quality. The build is top quality right down to the machine screws or just the way it's packaged with necessary cables. You can easily see the quality, but the instructions, set up etc all reflects a well built package.
pros: excellent sound, bass can be adjusted down so it's not overpowering., connects well, looks great ,excellent packaging and quality components, even manual is well documented which is a rare thing these days
Cons: remote has no backlit for display, but remote has a lot of functionality.
Overall just connect it with hdmi or optical or coaxial to tv, hdmi is best and use pcm settings if your tv supports. Very simple and the bar will decode into tru surround. Speakers all have excellent mount brackets. Rear speakers cable connect to sub, allowing easy placement in room. Unit even has speaker test protocol to assist. I can't say enough about how well designed this unit is. There is no comparison to other 2.1 bars.

5.0 out of 5 stars What I was expecting. Good for the price.

Been using this for 1 day and loving them. Setup was a breeze and I didn't have to setup any extra audio settings using my Vizio TV (It auto-detected them as soon as sound bar is turned on). You get excessive cable lengths for the SAT Speakers and everything is just plug-play basically. Sound is great quality so far, and tweaking the audio from the remote is nice with the LED display right on the sound bar to guide you.

The power cable from the sound bar is a bit short so make sure you have an ourlet/powerbar very nearby. The left & right SAT speakers weren't labelled to my knowledge but when you do the sound test the voice tells you which is which. I'd recommend doing the sound test first before putting the speakers in a permanent place.

    Other than that really great.
